SME development platform · Launching 1 August 2026
Know where every SME stands — and what support they need next.
Equilearn helps SME development teams diagnose businesses, segment support needs, recommend learning pathways and track progress — built in South Africa for teams across Africa.

The problem
Collected at intake. Lost by month three.
Most SME programmes gather detailed information at the start, but struggle to turn it into clear segmentation, targeted support and useful reporting. Support goes generic. Evidence goes missing. Funders get attendance registers instead of progress.
How it works
One pipeline. Five stages. Every SME accounted for.
Equilearn is not just a course library. It connects diagnostics, segmentation, learning, coaching and reporting into one practical SME support flow.
Application
SMEs apply through one structured form. No inboxes, no lost submissions.
Eligibility
Screening against your programme criteria, including ESD and B-BBEE requirements.
Diagnostic
A pillar-scored view of each business — then segment SMEs by maturity, need and support priority.
Learning
Learning pathways, coaching and tools matched to each SME's actual gaps.
Impact
Changes in revenue, jobs, practices and capability tracked over time — progress, not just attendance.
Built for
The people who run SME development.
ESOs & incubators
Run structured programmes across whole cohorts — not scattered spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups.
Independent consultants
Sell structured diagnostics, generate professional SME reports, and turn advisory work into a repeatable service.
Funders
See which SMEs were supported, what changed, where support is still needed, and how programme resources are being used.
Coaches & mentors
Walk into every session knowing exactly where the business is strong and where it needs help.
SME founders may join the list to be notified when participating programmes become available.

Questions
Before you ask.
Is Equilearn just another course platform?
No. Learning is one stage of five. Equilearn connects diagnostics, segmentation, learning, coaching and reporting into one flow — the learning is targeted at each SME's actual gaps, not a generic library.
Who is early access for?
Equilearn is primarily for ESOs, consultants, coaches, funders and programme teams. SME founders may join the list, but the platform is mainly accessed through programmes and support providers.
How would an ESO or consultant start using Equilearn?
We begin with your programme structure, SME intake needs, diagnostic priorities and reporting requirements, then configure the flow for your cohort or advisory model. Launch partners get hands-on setup support.
What does it cost?
Founding partner packages and early access pricing will be shared with the list before launch. Joining early access carries no cost or commitment.
How is our data handled?
In line with POPIA, by design. Your early-access details are used only for launch updates and partnership conversations, and are deleted on request. On the platform, each organisation works in its own workspace; programme and SME data belongs to your organisation, is exportable at any time, and SME consent is captured at intake. Read our full privacy notice — or email hello@equilearn.co.za with specific questions.
Can we run a pilot before launch?
Yes — we're onboarding a limited number of launch partners so we can support setup properly before the wider rollout. Email hello@equilearn.co.za with "pilot" in the subject line.
We built Equilearn after years inside SME development programmes — watching good data gathered at intake go unused, and good businesses get generic support. The tools should work as hard as the people running the programmes. That's the standard we're launching with.
